Make the most of your Magic
A hands-on tour of everything Magic can do — plus more dependable rewriting in any language, your colours and fonts kept safe in iCloud, and a new Incognito mode.
Magic now shows you how it works — a completely new onboarding experience, built to help you get the most out of your Magic from the first minute. The tour plays out on a real card: write, swipe, pinch to present, tap or hold the Magic button, and make it yours with colours and fonts. Skip whenever you like, or replay it any time from Settings → Support → Repeat Onboarding — handy for showing a friend.
Your look, kept safe
The colours, fonts and presets you carefully choreograph can now be saved to your iCloud automatically — along with your words — so they survive a lost phone or a fresh install. Turn on Keep in iCloud under Data Controls in Settings. Nothing is ever visible to us.
Incognito mode
Sometimes a conversation is for right now only. Incognito mode keeps everything you write off the record — nothing saved, anywhere — and your saved threads stay hidden until you turn it off, protected by Face ID. Find it in the … menu on All Threads.
Rewriting and translating, more dependable
- Everyday statements rewrite cleanly instead of being refused — and Magic still never answers your questions for you, and never invents facts on your card.
- Notes in other languages come back in their own language, reading naturally.
- When the on-device model has an off moment, the wand quietly tries again before bothering you.
